Café Mambo first opened in 2005 and quickly became a beloved Paia gathering spot—famous for the crispy duck fajitas and laid-back island vibe.
The café changed hands for the first time in 2017 and, like many local businesses, faced major challenges during the 2020 pandemic and the 2023 Maui fires. Those hardships eventually led to the closure of the original Café Mambo.
In 2024, under new ownership, we brought the space back to life with a completely fresh concept and a renewed commitment to our community. Our goal is simple: create a welcoming place for Maui locals and visitors to enjoy fresh, everyday food in a warm, relaxed atmosphere.
While the name remains, everything else—from the menu to the space—has been reimagined.
Join us for this next chapter and discover what makes the new Café Mambo special all over again.
